Finding and joining a course

Your dashboard lists every course you are enrolled in. A course you cannot see is a course you have not been enrolled in yet — the catalogue is scoped to your organisation and your cohort, so there is nothing hidden behind a search box.

The three ways you get enrolled

An administrator enrols you. The most common route. You are added to a cohort, and every course attached to that cohort appears on your dashboard.

You are invited by email. The invitation creates your account and enrols you in one step. Follow the link, set a password, and the course is already there.

You enrol yourself. Only for courses your organisation has marked as open. These appear under Browse with an Enrol button.

When a course is missing

Work through these in order:

  1. Check the cohort. Courses are attached to cohorts, not to people. If you were moved between cohorts, your course list moved with you.
  2. Check the start date. A course scheduled to open later is listed but not yet enterable, with its start date shown.
  3. Ask an administrator. They can see your enrolments directly and add the missing one.

Progress

Progress is computed from completed lessons, not from time spent. A lesson counts as complete when you reach the end of it; a graded assignment counts when it has been submitted, not when it has been marked.

That distinction matters at the end of a course: your progress can read 100% while a grade is still pending, and the certificate waits for the grade.
